Bill Crocker was born and raised in Fredonia, New York. He
attended Purdue University and Miami University, graduating with a
Master of Science in Microbiology. He served 26 years on active and
reserve duty as a microbiologist with the US Navy, retiring with the
rank of commander. He is also retired from a 26-year civilian career in
healthcare administration.
Bill's previous writing experiences include humorous personal essays
for periodicals and the hometown newspaper. He is the author of a
personal memoir entitled, "The Coffee Man's Kid, Escapades from the
Twentieth Century." Recently, he completed "Delta Upsilon at Purdue
University, 1914-2004, Ninety Years of Fraternity Life." This history
was commissioned and published by the chapter's alumni association.
Despite careers in science and healthcare administration, Bill remains
addicted to humor, grammar and punctuation. He is committed to humorous
embellishment, double-entendre, alliteration, and becomes positively
orgasmic over a well-placed comma.
Bill lives with Karen, his wife of 43 years, in Yuba City, California. They have two children and two grandchildren.
Bill Crocker is an active member of Amicus Books Literary Lounge Program.
