Henry Delamere likes to say that he "came to Marysville by stork." He has lived here for over half its history (Marysville became a city in 1850). His passion for history and for his community is endless.

Delamere is the City Historian for the City of Marysville, which boasts that it is the oldest little city in California.

He has written several local history books and is currently a journalist at the Territorial Dispatch in Marysville. He is a prolific history writer. His works are being re-published in a Biography of his life.

He facilitates a weekly history discussion at Amicus Books.
