The mission of the Literary Lounge is to an authors' and writers' co-op, provided by Amicus Books Literary Arts Center, sponsored by community book donations and community volunteerism. The focus of the program is to promote local authors and aspiring authors (local refers to those living in Yuba, Sutter, or any of the 8 bordering counties) by (1) providing promotional and merchandising opportunities for authors and (2) providing publishing/writing related educational and networking opportunities for all members.

Those interested in applying for this program should know that they are applying to be a part of a community of like-minded individuals with similar goals - a high level of participation is not only necessary to the mutual benefit of all the authors involved, it is required in order to remain in the program.
