Biography: Born in Yuba City, Stacy Renee Baggett was the second oldest of five children. She was raised in Yuba City and, aside from a few trips here and there, has never strayed too far from home. At a young age Stacy developed a passion for writing. Stacy used her storytelling as a means of imaginative travel. It wasn't until she was in middle school that she decided to try to make a career out of writing.

Baggett published a handful of poems in various teen magazines and young authors’ anthologies throughout her teens. She worked on multiple writing projects throughout high school, including a novel that was never completed. Baggett attended Yuba Community College after high school and obtained her Associate Degree in English. At the age of twenty-one, Baggett began work on the manuscript for Ordinary World. Ordinary World was published through PublishAmerica in 2007 when Baggett was only twenty-three years old. She currently resides in Yuba City and continues to write while studying to become an elementary schoolteacher.
